The Oberoi, New Delhi re-opened in 2018 after a 2-year long comprehensive renovation. We were given the opportunity to design all the new Luxury Suites in the Property.

The Deluxe Suites (1400 square feet) included a living area, a study, Dining Space, a pantry, a bedroom, walk in wardrobe and an Italian marble bathroom. A private balcony offered sweeping views of Delhi Golf Course or Humayun’s Tomb. The interior design for the suites was inspired by two distinct themes, that of the Victorian and the Art deco .

Project undertaken working with principal architect Akshat Bhatt at Architecture Discipline. Architecture Discipline owns sole copyright to the images. Photographs by Jeetin Sharma.

The bespoke furniture with exquisitely embroidered fabrics, the beautifully hand-knotted carpets, the delicately handcrafted lights, the ceiling cornices and motifs; all inspired by the Victorian era and accented by the artwork give the suite a Classical charm.

The edgy furniture crafted in brass and upholstered in luxe velvets, the swanky lights, the embellishments, the geometrical patterns and bright colours; reminiscent of Art Deco style transport you back to the Boldly Glamorous age.
