STATUS

We were asked to design the office for EIH’s executive chairman Prithvi Raj Singh ‘Biki’ Oberoi – a man hailed as one of India’s greatest hoteliers. We envisioned an office that befits his status and represents his spirit for refinement of architecture and design standards in luxury hospitality

Executive chairman’s office is stately and distinguished, stoic yet flamboyant. The design employs clean arrangement geometry in terms of spatial organization and crisp leading lines that reflect the contemporary simplicity and refined dimensional character.

Aesthetically, the interior spaces are designed to flow seamlessly, creating a relaxed experience where the light is the primary protagonist. Warm shafts of sun penetrate deep into the all interior spaces, giving it a feel of a spacious daylight-filled art gallery. Exaggerated proportions and tailored finishes further ensure that the quality offerings of the brand have informed the style of this workplace.

A sophisticated spatial experience has been curated using a very limited material palette. The white floors, ceilings and walls form the base canvas with warmth added using timber and textured fabric panels. Accents in bronze elevate this material mood and betoken luxury.

Materials were selected for their permanence and stability, the furniture pieces have been designed, proportioned and detailed by the design team with extreme control during the production process. Be it the choice and design for veneer development, selection of upholstery or fine refinement of edges grooves and gaps, all echo the comfortable yet refined aesthetic of the interior.
